| Computer Programmes used in Transport Design Illustration Listed here are several of the more popular programmes used in transport design. Alias Wavefront StudioTools -leading applications for 3D visualisation in the car design industry. Originally a Silicon Graphics programme,it can now run on most OSs. It is exceptionally expensive, although annual student licenses are available - these are still not cheap though. See the site for more details. Rhino - less powerful but much cheaper than Alias, Rhino will run on a standard PC AutoCad - A popular programme for basic technical CAD. However, it is incredibly expensive and user-unfriendly. Photoshop - Adobe Photoshop is a image manipulation programme that is soften used to rework or tidy up drawings or computer renderings. Most graphics on thios site were created with PhotoShop. |
